Prof. Dr. Günter Wächtershäuser

Prof. Dr. Günter Wächtershäuser holds a doctorate in chemisty from the University of Marburg (Germany). He was trained as a patent attorney at a German law firm and at Eastman Kodak Co., Rochester, USA.

After founding the firm in 1970, Prof. Dr. Wächtershäuser successfully handled a large number of cases in all fields of patent prosecution and litigation.

Complementing his work as a German and European patent attorney, Prof. Dr. Wächtershäuser has significantly contributed to science with an explanatory theory of biochemistry, which projects to the origin of life. His work has been published in prestigious journals like "Science", "Nature", and “PNAS”.
